Liberal Studies Overview

Liberal Studies provides a greater understanding of our place in the world and in history. We believe that today’s technology is an integral, enhancing element of that experience. Along with traditional humanities classes, we’ve developed diverse course offerings, innovative interdisciplinary programs and opportunities to incorporate computers into your education.

In the bachelors programs: Communication in Technology and Graphic Design Technology, students are prepared to work in the modern media workplace, in public relations, journalism, graphic design, illustration, publishing and communications. The programs instill a broad set of skills in areas such as TV production, web and graphic design, writing, reporting and critical thinking.

In the associate degree programs, Communications, Humanities, and Social Science, students are provided with the base knowledge of anthropology, mass media, journalism, technical communication, art, public relations, history, English and foreign languages, which they can then transfer into any bachelor program.
