English as a Second Language

ESOL 130, Advanced ESL, is available in the fall and spring semesters. This 3-credit course is recommended for non-native speakers of English who are not quite ready for college composition. In ESOL 130, students are introduced to college-level reading and writing assignments and research techniques while attending classes with American students. Sharing classes with Americans helps students improve their English language skills.

Outside of class, writing tutors in the Center for Academic Support and Excellence offer assistance in planning and revising assignments. For more information on English as a Second Language, please contact Dr. Susan Jagendorf a jagends@cobleskill.edu.
