Lynn joined the Residential Life Staff at Cobleskill during the Spring 2023 semester and has been delighted to have such a wonderful opportunity to return to SUNY where she began her work in Res Life and Student Affairs two decades ago. A proud alum of SUNY Morrisville (AAS) and SUNY New Paltz (BA), Lynn studied journalism and thoroughly enjoyed working as a Capital Region reporter for several years before accepting her first Residence Director role at Morrisville in 2003. She discovered a passion for working with residential students that has provided her unique opportunities to serve at several campuses throughout the country in New York, New Mexico, California, and New Jersey. Lynn holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from New Mexico State University. A native New Yorker, she is ecstatic to be back in the state and looks forward to immersing herself in the Cobleskill campus and greater community. Lynn enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, traveling, reading, writing, photography, and cinema. She especially loves going to the theatre, playing cards, singing karaoke, and spending time with friends and family.

LeAnn is the Associate Director of Residential Learning & Wellbeing and oversees the Alumni Commons Suites and Townhomes. As a first-generation college student, LeAnn earned an Associates in Science (Criminal Justice) from Herkimer County Community College, a Bachelors in Applied Science (Criminal Justice) from SUNY Oneonta, and a Masters of Arts (Higher Education Administration) from Stony Brook University. LeAnn has over 12 years of experience in Student Affairs with the majority of those years working in Residential Life not only within SUNY, but also within private and community colleges. Born & raised in the Adirondacks, LeAnn spends the majority of her free time outside whether it be fishing, spending time at the lake, or exploring new scenic locations!

Originally from Memphis, MI, Jake received a B.A. in Business Administration from Alma College in Alma, MI and a M.S. in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. He has experience in Residential Life, Student Activities, Orientation, Athletics, College Radio, Title IX, and enjoys being active outside, traveling, and spending time with good company.

Hailing from the bustling streets of New York City, Ryan Sinclair is a college housing professional with a unique flair. As a Cobleskill alum, Ryan brings an eclectic blend of her city upbringing and a deep appreciation for the natural world to everything she does. Ryan's downtime often involves immersing herself in nature documentaries and finding solace in the practice of yoga. But above all, what truly ignites her spirit is spending quality time with her loved ones and four-legged companions.

Caitlin Briggs is the Residence Hall Director of Draper Hall and is originally from Cooperstown, NY. She attended Clarkson University and received a B.S. in Biology. Prior to attending college, she studied abroad in Florianopolis, Brazil as a Rotary Youth Exchange student during senior year of high school. She enjoys reading, running and traveling.

Born and raised in Upstate, NY, Travis Early has spent the better part of the last decade teaching and educating in China. Upon returning to the US last July, Travis became interested in contributing to the field of student development. As Residence Hall Director of Pearson Hall, Travis looks forward to being able to serve the community, develop future professional staff, and expand equitable access to college services and meaningful growth opportunities for all residents. Travis' hobbies include playing guitar, cooking, DM-ing fifth ed campaigns, playing tabletop games with friends, hiking, and exploring the infinite beauty of New York.

 

Ryan Herrmann

Ryan is the Residence Hall Director for Vroman Hall. Originally from Northern New Jersey, Ryan went to Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI where they earned their Bachelor’s in History. After undergrad, Ryan attended graduate school at Montclair State University, earning their Master’s in Higher Education. Outside of work, Ryan loves playing video games, listening to music, enjoying the great outdoors, and watching anime.

Bill is the Residence Hall Director for Ten Eyck Hall. Bill grew up in Xi'an, China, and moved to the U.S. a decade ago. He completed his Bachelor's degrees in Materials Science and Mathematics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has since worked as a tutor, teacher, and study abroad advisor. He joined SUNY Cobleskill upon completion of his Masters's in Educational Policy & Leadership from the University at Albany. In his free time, Bill enjoys games, soccer, outdoors, and exploring new hobbies and activities!

 Shelby Preston

Residence Hall Director, Davis Hall

Shelby is currently the Residence Hall Director of Davis Hall as well as the Women's Basketball Associate Head Coach. Originally from Ravena, NY, she graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a Bachelor’s in Communication in Technology and a minor in Sports Management. She completed a Master's in Sports Management in 2020. She was a 4-year starter and 4-year All-Conference selection for the Women's Basketball program from 2013-2017. She is the advisor for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She is working on her Mental Health Counseling Master's to eventually become a Sports Psychologist and work with athletes and veterans. She enjoys basketball, roller coasters, chicken wings and the Boston Celtics.
